How to Use the Code
Puddle Ducks is run by local franchise teams, and the credit is applied when you make your first booking, so the code needs to be quoted at the point you sign up rather than entered on a website afterwards.
- Find your local team on the Puddle Ducks website and get in touch by phone or through their enquiry form. We swim with Puddle Ducks Chester, Wirral & North Wales.
- Quote code 908414134 (or “Kerry Walker” as the person who recommended you) when you book and pay for your first block of lessons.
- £20 credit is added to your account and comes off your first payment.
The credit can’t be added retrospectively, so mention the code before you pay rather than after.
Our Story
I’ve got two girls, aged 4 and 6, and both are in Swim Academy classes with Puddle Ducks Chester at the Queen’s School on Liverpool Road. They absolutely love it.
We didn’t start with Puddle Ducks. Both girls began at Water Babies when they were around six months old. The older one went for about two and a half years and the younger one for about a year. For the baby stage it did what we wanted: they were happy in the water, comfortable going under, and it was a lovely thing to do together at the weekend.
Over time, though, the lessons started to feel repetitive, and the Saturday sessions at our venue became hard to rely on. Lessons were cancelled, teachers changed from week to week, and eventually the class was dropped altogether. That wasn’t anyone’s fault in particular, but with two children who were ready to move on to proper lessons we needed something more consistent.
We tried a couple of alternatives that didn’t stick, then moved to Puddle Ducks. It has been fantastic from day one. We were welcomed, told how the class worked and what to expect, and the girls settled in straight away. That might sound like a small thing, but when you’re standing at the side of a pool with two kids who’ve just changed swim schools it makes all the difference.
What We Like About Puddle Ducks Chester
- Small classes - in our Swim Academy classes there are four children to each instructor. Every child gets proper attention in every lesson, and nobody is left treading water while the teacher works with someone else
- You can see the progress - the girls are noticeably better swimmers week on week. Swim Academy runs through Levels 1 to 8, so there’s a clear path and they know what they’re working towards
- The girls actually enjoy it - they look forward to lessons and come out of the pool wanting to tell you what they did
- Parents stay poolside - for Swim Academy you watch from the side, so you see every lesson and can talk to the teacher about how they’re getting on
- A warm pool - the Queen’s School pool sits at around 31°C, which matters a lot with younger children. Puddle Ducks has exclusive use of the pool during lessons and there’s a poolside assistant as well as the teacher
- Easy to get to - the Queen’s School (Lower) is at 55 Liverpool Road, just north of Chester city centre next to Total Fitness, and parking on site is free
- Worth the money - swimming lessons with a specialist school are not cheap, but given the class sizes and the progress we’ve seen, I’ve no complaints about the value
Puddle Ducks Classes by Age
Puddle Ducks runs classes from birth through to age 10, so the code is useful whether you’ve got a newborn or a school-age child who has never had a lesson.

Children can join Swim Academy from age 4 without having done any of the baby classes first. Both of ours came in from a different swim school and slotted straight into Swim Academy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Recommend-a-Friend code work with the free trial or introductory offer?
No. The £20 credit can’t be combined with an introductory or promotional offer. It can be used alongside the sibling discount if you’re booking more than one child.
Does the £20 credit expire?
Yes. The credit is valid for 6 months from when it’s added to your account and has no cash value, so it needs to be used against lesson payments.
Can I use the code with any Puddle Ducks team?
Recommend-a-Friend is a national Puddle Ducks scheme, so the code should work with any local team, not just Chester. If your team has any local variation on the offer, they’ll tell you when you book.
Can I add the code after I’ve booked?
No. The credit is only applied when the code is quoted at the time of your first booking and payment.
What age can my child start Puddle Ducks?
From birth. Floaties classes are for babies from 0 to 6 months, and Swim Academy takes school-age children from age 4 at any ability level.
How much are Puddle Ducks lessons?
Prices vary by local team and class type, and all new bookings are paid for a block of lessons up front, then monthly after that. Ask your local team for current prices. The £20 credit comes off your first payment.
